NOTE: While alcohol consumption [especially getting drunk] may not be the best activity at this time; for those who choose to drink, Corona® branded beer will not give you coronavirus. It's perfectly safe as long as it's consumed by legal aged adults and in a responsible manner. This is just as true today; as it was when they first started brewing it in 1925. There's no need to panic if you have consumed this brand of beer recently.
Your survival is very important to us! Please refrain from buying from us at this time if you can't afford to. We ask that you please set money aside to pay for the neccessities essential for living such as food, housing, and hygene supplies along with a little extra for future emergencies first. The company plans to be around long after the coronavirus pandemic ends. While SWMCA deeply appreciates your patronage, we cannot provide service of any level to deceased customers.

We value you! Wash your hands and wear a mask please!
We are still in business and plan to continue to be!

While we are an international; with less than 25 employees, we are also a small business. Everything from creating the fonts; to working on the websites, is done in house. We can't afford a language translation department, yet we are doing both the main websites and documentation in over 30 languages. Please bear with us as we adjust to the new normal, as well as fix our company.

Even-though you can only buy our offerings online, COVID-19 hit us hard!

Locally we had shutdowns for Spring into Summer in Kansas City during 2020, except for essential businesses. Regretfully art suppliers were not deemed essential. Although the finished product is digital and involves computers; almost all of our fonts begin, as hand drawings. That's what makes you want to download them. If we eliminated hand drawing, our fonts would be no different than anyone else's. The quality would also go down tremendously.

Different inks and other mediums react differently to different papers. Sometimes by the batch. We have to sample the stuff in person to assure decent quality; and if we're expanding or improving an existing font, consistency. An art supply house will let you try it before you buy, most office supply places wont. You can't do pre-sample buying online either.

Changes regarding our EULA and other docs:

The  EULA documentation is getting a major makeover except for our Pirates' & Bootleggers EULA and the VAT Addendum. As part of the company's reorganization, we had to make name changes  in our EULAs to keep them legal. We decided to edit and rewrite instead. At least 25% of the total text will be removed from previous general documents to simplify them. There will be a  Terms of Service (now complete), glossary of common terms between documents (so they won't be constantly duplicated). EULAs will now be created per product (eventually we will offer more than typographic offerings, if all goes as planned)  The Freelancers Union addendum will be discontinued due to our employees also now having additional representation by the IWW. This may still be enforced for the products it  had governed; by the Freelancers Union of New York City ,since they were 50% copyright owner. All valid parts will be incorporated in the new EULAs.  A decision will be made by the company by 1 November 2020
on issuing a temporary 'COVID 19 EULA' will be needed.

Both our traditional {classic} and express websites remain closed.
That means swmcafonts.dudaone.com will continue to be our official corporate website for now.

Our main websites have been closed down for a few years. It has taken a lot longer than expected. We HAVE TO get them up to ARIA standards before we can reopen them. The  LAST THING WE NEED is to be the defendant in a web accessibility lawsuit! While you will have to be patent, we DO PLAN TO REOPEN THEM! Too much work has went into them not to. Our primary goal right now; must be to continue our restructuring efforts, and improve the fonts so we can stay in business.

Dealer-Broker changes:
We are sad to announce that we are not the only ones in online-only retailing affected by the Corona pandemic. We've lost some of our e-commerce distributors too. Some had to be closed by us because we could no longer afford their fees, but others have went out of business permanently. Once we get the company right-sized we plan to aggressively find replacements. We plan to start introducing our toll offerings to exclusive typography-only outlets such as myfonts.com once we get them perfected .

Rehabs & new introductions:

Although progress is slower, it continues on. Although SWMCA Catalogs is no longer the name of the main company; it will continue to be used by the series incorporated with the company, in 2014 unless prohibited by Missouri law. SWMCA Catalogs will also continue as a brand until 2021 at least. New and rehabbed fonts and typefaces will be introduced as Fontaric ; [replacing the American Font  Smorgasbord brand], and HappyMyde; [replacing the SWMCA Catalogs brand], respectfully.

All SWMCA Catalogs offerings free or toll will be improved. Many of the fonts will also get additional characters. The rehabbed and new fonts will be introduced slowly, but they are coming.
